If Obama really cared about health care then he should mandate you get the same health care all Congressmen get….
hence he doesn’t.
This is about power…not about healthcare….
here’s the main problems:
-in dire emergencies people between the ages of 0-15 and 41-dead will not get anything.
- the hospitals will become incredibly backed up, and we won’t be able to get serviced as quickly as needed.. and people will be lamed for life since most injuries have a small window of opportunity to be helped.
-people have to pay for other peoples stuff when there’s no reason to, as i am a healthy bodybuilder/runner and an obese person is going to be a leech taking my money when most procedures can be prevented
-finally it’s too expensive for something we do not need!
they are paid actors who are covered by the biased media.
All people especially senior citizens fear change. AARP the nations leading senior advocacy group supports health care reform.
Read the below refrenced article I found recently. Especially the first paragraph. Speaks volumes…and in English as you requested.
Many people areup in arms as they have been told lies about the reforms Obama was elected to bring in.
FACT – Insurance companies in the USA admit to pushing up prices, buying politicians and not paying out claims when they should
FACT – PER PERSON the USA spends more on healthcare than any other nation on the planet
FACT – Obama debated his plans before the election for healthcare
FACT – the chance of a child under five of dying in the USA is greater than industrialised nations with universal healthcoverage
FACT – Obama was elected by the American people to bring in change
FACT – Obama wants to stop insurance companies from screwing the American people
FACT – The reforms Obama wants work in the Netherlands and in Switzerland
Mostly because people like Steve keep shouting lies and misinformation about what the health insurance plan will do. One lady stood up and said she didn’t want government involved in her health care, in spite of the fact that she was on Medicare.
Nonsensical ideas like “death panels” and “end of life counseling” that is supposed to make you accept death, rather than explaining the options to you in case of a deteriorating condition, are frightening seniors into believing that if the national insurance plan is passed, they will be shunted off to some kind of a Soylent Green world. (That’s an old movie where people would volunteer to die and their bodies were turned into food.)
Well read the bill

But to put it out
Page 26 end private insurance.
In the 600 page range there is a provision that determines when you can have children.
While the end of life provisions may not be intended as a death panel it could be used that way!
Like you, I only know a little, but am learning more each day. I am one who is not opposed right now to our President’s Health Care plan. What I am understanding is that it will provide/make available insurance plans at affordable rates for every American. Of course many people are against the government run idea of medical care, but for some it provides help that they may not get otherwise. I can only speak for myself, but my husband’s plan is outrageously expensive to add a spouse, not to expensive though for our children to be added. My children have health insurance and I do not. But our income is to high for some other programs available, but not high enough to cover the cost to add me to my husband’s insurance. So I personally am interested in what President Obamas’ health plan can do for me. I may change my mind as I learn more, but for now I am not opposed at all to the idea.
All the greed-driven insurance/pharmaceutical lobbyists are out in full force, joining the cult-evangelicals who simply do not like being out of power (Goldberg, 2006), and a whole lot of distortion and scripted disruptions of town hall meetings for Democrats is going on. Highly paid lobbyist Dick Armey’s Freedom Works (a front organization for DLA Piper) has been behind a lot of the busing in of disrupters and shouters (they actually have a how-to directive that was shown on “The Rachel Maddow Show” and Keith Olbermann’s “Countdown” on MSNBC). DLA Piper is a huge lobbying firm that has branches all over the world and one client is Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid al Maktoum, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirate and Ruler of Dubai (foreign oil interests). Another organizer of the disinformation campaign and scripted/bused in protestors is former Ralph Reed partner Tim Phillips, whose front group Americans for Prosperity is funded by Koch Family Foundation (oil industrialists). Right-wing Republicans are against any regulations on the banks or major corporations that donate to their campaigns, which they call “big government”, even though deregulation is at fault (according to Greenspan in testimony before a Senate committee in January) for the meltdown of the banks.
Health care plan: There are three bills in the Senate, but none out of committee yet because Republicans delayed as much as possible. There is a bill in the House that cleared Henry Waxman’s committee which has more than 160 amendments proposed by Republicans that Democrats voted to accept. One of these Republican-proposed amendments was, I think, a deliberate plant so that the Hill & Knowlton PR Firm right-wingers lie to use, or the Rupert Murdoch (media mogul) team could use the August recess to spin a very simple provision for having doctors paid if asked to consult on end-of-life care for patients and their families to being “death squads”—even though there is NOTHING in the bill like this in the slightest. Karl Rove used to be good at this type of diabolical spin, but this time I think the Republicans (who put out a memo that was leaked to the press to derail this health care reform in any way possible to gain momentum for the midterm elections) devised the smear on their own. Senator Grassley even admitted as much in his town hall meeting (shown on MSNBC), saying that voters “should be afraid of” this plan and also stating that he has “put his finger in the dyke” (delayed) on the Finance Committee, while giving the Democrats the impression he was trying to cooperate (NOT!).
There is NO government takeover of health care. There is going to be regulation on the insurance companies so that they cannot deny coverage to anyone, as they do now, because of pre-existing conditions. Also, those who like the plan they get through their work or on their own can keep the plan they like. The public option being proposed is sort of like “a miniature Medicare Light” for people whose medical bills total to more than 11% of their income. They will have to pay a pro-rated fee, but everyone will be covered. There is a firewall to prevent bosses from canceling good health care coverage for their workers (which a lot of workers ask about in town hall meetings), and small business owners with 25 or less employees will be able to pool resources with other small businesses on a comprehensive plan or they can opt into the public plan and pay something like $750 per year for each employee (the amount hasn’t been formally set yet). Big profit-driven insurance companies (there are 1200 of them in the U.S.) are completely AGAINST the public option (it means they will have to keep their prices competitive instead of raising fees at 3x the rate of inflation), but their opposition/fear is like a pack of wild full-grown dobermans being intimidated by a chihuahua puppy. The post office is government-run, but UPS and Fed-Ex seem to do okay, don’t they?
the bill is very bad.
First of all: Obama is going to make a national health care which is socialism. Any country who has started socialism fails.
first of all you will have to wait weeks for a checkup also the doctors are employees of the government the quality in health care will decline Also live saving drugs and tests will be denied
